On Friday our class is going to Surrey Nature Centre, rain or shine! We will be leaving school shortly after attendance and our morning meeting and returning at lunch time. Please remember to bring a booster seat, a pocket snack and dress for the weather. Every child needs to have a jacket with a hood, preferably a rain jacket. It is also a great idea to wear gumboots as we will be outside in the forest. The Surrey Nature Centre kindly asks that no siblings are to come along and no umbrellas. Hopefully, the weather is sunny and we won't have to worry about the rain.
In the afternoon we are having a Halloween Parade and Monster Mash in the gym starting at 1:30. Children will have time to dress up in their costume before or after lunch, if they choose not to wear it on the field trip.
There is also a pumpkin carving contest where pumpkins come to school already carved and ready for judging in the morning. Please make sure first and last name and division are on the pumpkin. Pumpkins get brought to the stage in the gym in the morning.
Division 10 has entered a pumpkin! It was a collaborative class project.
